Creating Through Earth

This program has previous iterations. It was known in the launch as Lightweaver Writing Masterclass and thereafter evolved into Writing through Earth. I changed it after feedback from a participant:

“Bhavana, in my opinion, “Writing Masterclass” – the name doesn’t justify what it delivers or rather how it revolutionizes me internally. I can’t think of a better term, but this is beyond writing, beyond mastering beyond tips & tricks, beyond grammar and vocabulary and beyond anything I have ever attended.” – Ramesh Manickavel

The feedback alerted me to the fact that I had designed the course to decolonize mind from the colonial rules around language and grammar and what constitutes good writing, a way by which the Master continues to control the subjects.

The course was influenced by Chicana Scholar-Activists like Gloria Anzaldua and Cherri Morarga and my own decolonizing impetus that has governed my research in the first decade of this century.

How can I teach a class that is called a “Masterclass”!

If anything, this course Unmasters you from the usual structures of demands and expectations, Unmasters the field of expression and frees your creativity, Unmasters art from its colonial heritage and returns it to the caves.

In the recent times, with an increased soaking in living systems thinking and understanding the deep entangling of what we do with our worlds, there is a call for widening the reach of this course.

That creating is a dance of our internal worlds to the music of our environments. and the fact that my course has been taken by innovators, entrepreneurs and artists of all hues.

This is an Earth program that returns you towards the Earth Household – Ecos. The training structure is influenced by the revolutionary works of Iain Kerr and Jason Frasca of Emergent Futures Lab as it is by Living Systems Thinking. In a sense you will learn to play with what-is, liberate from the usual categories of creativity, as well as unconsciously bring attention to various of parts of life that hold you back from being in this world.
